About the Owner

Born in '66, I've been a Hoosier all but three months of my life. I've lived in Muncie, Indiana since 1972.

I graduated from Muncie Southside High School in June 1984 and spent four years studying Journalism at Ball State University. I worked 10 years as a desktop publisher and two-color printing press operator. For the most recent 10 years, I've worked in Anderson, Indiana as a supervisor and statistical analyst.

Computer use has been an integral part of my occupations. As such, I've always been somewhat of a geek. My love of computers naturally led me into the use of the internet in its infancy. I've worked with websites since 1999 and have honed my design skills with classes, books, and general experimentation.

I'm married and have a 19-year-old son who recently graduated with honors from Muncie Southside and began his college career at Ball State University. We've recently moved to the north side of Muncie, but my allegiance will always be for the south side.

If there is any additional information about me that will help you decide whether to secure my services, feel free to use my contact form.

Experience

I have been designing and re-designing personal websites for the past 4 years. I currently use Cascading Style Sheets to present up-to-date code and professional-looking sites.

My college education (Ball State University - Muncie, Ind.) was in Journalism so you can be sure that your text will be re-read thoroughly to prevent typographic and grammatical errors.

If you are looking for a fancy office with multiple computers, you will need to look elswhere. However, since I work on my own, I can pass those savings to you (which is why you may have found me in the first place).

Graphics

While not a professional artist, I do have marketable skills using Photoshop. I can create graphics from photographs or current artwork. If you have something that only needs scanned for the website, this will be included at no charge. If you need artwork created or touched up, the charge may be nominal based on several factors.

Creating a Website

You will need the following to have a website on the internet:

  • Domain Name (somewhere between free and $20)
  • Hosting Services (somewhere between free and $150 per year)
  • Design Services (this is where I come in)
  • Regular Updates (either by yourself or from me for a small charge)

I currently am not a reseller of domain name or hosting services. While the choice for these services is up to you, I will be happy to provide suggestions based on providers that I have successfully used.
